FAQ's

1. What subjects and age groups do you teach?

Primary English, Maths, Science, Art, and Food Technology (I do practical cooking sessions in my kitchen at home!). I am a qualified teacher providing tuition from early years up to Key Stage 4, I also offer my special educational needs tutoring sessions for pupils of any age, including young adults.

2. Where are the lessons held?
Lessons are held in my dedicated teaching room at my home. This is a purpose-built space on the ground floor, with a dedicated guest bathroom for pupils. It's free from distraction and has lots of natural light.

3. How long is each lesson?

Each lesson is 1 hour.

4. Can I book a trial session?

Absolutely! I strongly encourage new pupils to book a trial lesson with me. It's an ideal way to see how I work, and allows me to get to know your child. You can book a trial lesson with me here.

5. Can parents/guardians sit in on lessons?
Absolutely! For SEN pupils, I encourage parents/guardians to do so. As the pupil becomes less anxious, I offer the possibility for accompanying adults to sit in my living room, which is adjacent to the teaching room. I have space on my driveway outside the front of my house and in sight of the teaching room, where parents/guardians can park for the hour.

6. Do you offer online tuition?

At this point in time, my lessons are in-person only. I operate this way because I firmly believe in the value of teaching children face to face, without the added distraction of screens. It allows me to better connect with my pupils and employ my methodology to its fullest.
